Boy Scouts of America Troop 118 in Denville, NJ

On Tuesday evening, March 1, 2011, several representatives of Tails Of The Tundra visited a meeting of Boy Scouts of America Troop 118 in Denville, NJ to speak with the Scouts about Siberian Huskies.

Bob & Betty Ann Baker were accompanied by their dog, Bailey, while Cindy Athanasiou and her son, Nick, were escorted by their dog, Blazer. Bob showed a PowerPoint slide presentation to the Scouts telling them about Siberian Huskies and their traits and characteristics. After the presentation, the Scouts were briefed on how to meet and greet a strange dog and then given an opportunity to socialize with Bailey and Blazer.

It is quite obvious, judging from the photographs, that both the Scouts and the dogs enjoyed themselves immensely. At the end of the evening, Scoutmaster Steven Owens expressed his thanks to Tails Of The Tundra for a fun and educational evening. Troop 118 was invited to attend the 2011 Tails On The Trails Husky Hike in September, and Scoutmaster Owens, on behalf of the troop, said that they would make every effort to be there.
